In the issue test 09/2007 of the magazine German product test foundation an article about carpet care was released. Therefore a carpet is more durable, if it is cared regurarly. Blotch are not a drama, it is only necessary to act immediately. Upon the carpet care it is importzant above all, that the carpets are hoovered once a week at least. The best solution is a hoover with a electrical brush duct. A flat duct without brush is more gentle for very longhair carpets or rough woolknot ware. By the choice for a hoover the wattage is not essential, much more important is the construction of the hoover and this one is manifested only within the examination. House-dust allergicans profit from the hoovers with effective filters and "very good" dust retention capacity. Upon blotch occurence it should be acted immediately. Loose soil should be hoovered, liquids were dabbed away from outside to inside with a white, clean cloth. Do not rub by no means. Arrears are treated with warm water. Dried up substances could be scrapped clean with a spoon and hoovered. The snatch to the carpet shampoo or blotch removers (please follow the instructions) is the right way for oily/fatty blotch. Soap, wash- and dishwashing agents could not be rinsed out easily as the carpet fibres can stick together and attract soil. Salt should be avoided upon red wine blotch. It isn't really effective, but could easily destroy the rug fibres. Water and carpet shampoo is better in this case. Colourful candle wax could mark off, please do not fuse on with blotting paper. Instead of that scrape it off with a spoon and use optionally a bloth removal agent. Bubblegum can be treaten with a coolant spray until it drops off slowly. Afterwards use carpet shampoo for refinish. Carpets could be cleaned intensively as well. Dry chemical or foam spray help on stressed areas, which are visibly soiled. Scrub the agent with a mop into the carpet and afterwards hoover it. Extensively soiled carpets you can clean with spraying extraction. Thereby a cleaning mixture is sprayed on the carpet with a special machine and afterwards it is hoovered. These machines you can get on rental at carpet stores or you engage experts to clean your carpet. By wool carpets you should pay attention on preferably short drying times.
